Winnie's back on track

Winnie Ntshaba is back to her old self, and loving life as a single mom and entrepreneur. She shares more about how her life is falling into place.

They say life begins at 40 – and this talented actress is proving that expression to be true.

It’s a Friday afternoon when we meet with Winnie Ntshaba at Joburg’s popular family restaurant, Bambanani, and the place is packed with diners getting a head start on the weekend.

She arrives with her son, Phenyo (7), who cannot wait to join the other children at the restaurant’s colourful outdoor play area.

The former Generations star looks radiant and relaxed in a white top and blue jeans. We last spoke to her exclusively in June (‘I didn’t betray anyone’, 4 June), so how has the year treated her? “It’s had its ups and downs but its been a wonderful, a beautiful one in fact,” she glows. “I turned 40 and it was the beginning of beautiful things. My baby goes to grade 1 next year and I’m so excited about what life has to offer. They say life begins at 40 and now that I’m there I can tell you that it does."
