A woman who tried to sue a man for child support for her twin daughters was taken aback when she found out that he could only pay for one.

After conducting a paternity test on the infant girls, it was found that the man was the father to only one because the woman had sex with another man just a week after laying with said man.

Cases like these are rare but far from impossible, this could happen when a woman has intercourse with two different men during her time of ovulation and both men's sperm could fertilise two different eggs.

The DNA test was conducted after the woman was seeking child support from the man she believed fathered her children.

The judge ruled that the man pay for only one daughter and that he would be expected to pay $28 a month (approximately R340).
