A 20 year-old woman, kidnapped by Nigerian terrorist group Boko Haram, was found in the bush in the town of Mubi in Adamawa state, NBC News reports.

It wasn’t clear if she had escaped or if she had been released by the group.

Police spokesperson Emmanuel Ojukqu said she appeared to be heavily traumatised and not very stable when she was found on Friday.

He said she was identified as one of hundreds taken from their dorm in Chibok in April.

The kidnapping, by the Al-Qaeda linked militants, led to widespread international outcry and the popular social media tagline #BringBackOurGirls.

Some if the girls managed to escape soon after the incident, but the vast majority have not been found.
