The media industry is mourning the passing of yet another wordsmith.

Formerly with Sowetan, Tiisetso Makube will be remembered for his critique on Jazz and lifestyle. Tiisetso went to write freelance for titles such as the Mail & Guardian and  Sunday Times.

Apart from his freelance contributions, Tiisetso also did a stint as the editor of the Afropolitan magazine back in 2007.

Not much is known about Tiisetso’s private life, but his former  partner  - with whom he has a daughter -  Sonia Motaung, a former journalist with City Press said on Twitter: My baby's daddy was a writer and a beautiful one for that matter and that’s what our daughter has inherited from both of us, she writes well.”

May his soul rest in peace!
