Xenophobia rears its head again

Police are on full alert in Gauteng townships after a local business organisation delivered letters to foreign nationals that sparked fears of renewed xenophobic attacks. Police have been deployed to hot spots around Gauteng, including increased patrols on the streets of Soweto, Tembisa and Freedom Park, west of Joburg, Katlehong and Thokoza in Ekurhuleni.
