Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Reneilwe 'Yeye' Letsholoyane has expressed his condolences to the family of the late Maritzburg United player, Mondli Cele, and in the same breath, says he is tired of mourning his fellow soccer players.

Cele died in a car accident in the wee hours of Sunday morning after playing a Premier Soccer League game against Orlando Pirates the day before.

His death brings to at least three Mzansi soccer players killed in car crashes in a space of seven months.

These include Ajax Cape Town’s Cecil Lolo and Free State Stars striker Richard Henyekane.

'Yeye' wrote on the Chiefs' website “ We are losing too many athletes in car accidents, which is a cause for concern."

“We got shocked and drew strength from the Almighty for granting us an opportunity to have shared the life and times with Cele, both on and off the field of play,” said Letsholoyane.

He also praised  Cele for the times they have shared together, and the discipline he had on and off the field.
