Zamajobe finally gets a Metro FM Awards nod

Singer Zamajobe Sithole has finally received a Metro FM Music Award nomination.

Singer Zamajobe Sithole  has finally received a Metro FM Music Award nomination.

An excited Zamajobe who’s nominated for the Best Female Artist said: “I feel like my work has been recognised after ten years—it’s about time.”

Her debut album, ‘Ndawo Yami‘ was released in 2004.

The 13th Metro FM Music Awards nominees were announced at the Turbine Hall in Newtown, Johannesburg.

Mzansi celebs including were in attendance to hear which artists had made it to the list.

Newbie, Vusi Nova, has been nominated for Best Male Artist and Best R&B Album.

Speaking about his nomination he said: “The competition is tough but I believe as long as you’re nominated you’re still a winner. Well I’ve got a pretty good chance to walk away with something.”

Vusi was not surprised that he was nominated. “I was expecting it but I didn’t want to have high hopes.”

On the same night Metro FM proudly announced their new sponsor BP.  The Metro FM Music Awards are going back to Durban ICC , on the 1st of March.
