President Jacob Zuma extended condolences to Cuba from the people of South Africa after the death of liberation hero Fidel Castro, International Relations spokesperson Clayson Monyela said.

''It is devastating, absolutely devastating,'' said Monyela after the 90-year-old former Cuban president's death on Friday night.
