Dubai. 38 Degrees. 4 hours. X. Absolute amazing feeling.
20 Years ago as a student I stood in line and casted my vote. Now 20 years later I am looking at casting another vote and hope that this brings change again. 27 April 1994 in Stellenbosch was a rainy day, yesterday the sun shone. Let the sun shine on this Election and make it a Sunny SA!
South Africans have fought and died for the opportunity to vote. All South Africans must use this opportunity to speak our minds and tell the government how we feel. I am sad to hear that some say they will not vote as it will not make a difference. It will make a difference - to the party that receives your vote.
Do not take your vote and sweep it under the carpet. Get up and speak your mind. If you have always had the right to vote and now feel you are not worthy - make yourself worthy and make your mark. Others had to fight for it, you might have had it all along. Use your vote.
Oh and wear flat heels, it is worth it!
