Pretoria - The United Christian Democratic Party on Thursday expressed disappointment over their 8 071 votes counted by midday.
Party leader Siphon Mfundisi was optimistic that the numbers would increase.
"The results are not what we were expecting but we, however, know that our support is in the far-flung areas," he said at the national results operations centre in Pretoria.
"We normally gather momentum when those who struggle to use computers send through their results," said Mfundisi.
His party had aimed for seven seats in Parliament but realised this was not attainable.
