ANC goes after 'poster vandals'

2016-04-10 21:18

Durban - The ANC is KZN has accused the EFF of tearing down party campaign posters in Esikhaleni in Umhlathuze on the North Coast.

In a statement, ANC Provincial Secretary Super Zuma said that party was appalled by the alleged conduct, but not surprised.

“We view their [alleged] act of destroying our posters as a sign of political vagrancy and lack of respect for the toiling masses of this province in particular and South Africa in general,” he said.

“The [alleged] tearing down of ANC election campaign posters is the only tactic that the EFF can apply, as the masses of our people continue to show their appreciation and the support of ANC leadership in the three spheres of government,” he added.

Zuma said that party had opened a case against those who were purported to have destroyed election material.

“We therefore, call on all law-abiding citizens to continue reporting such criminality by these culprits who claim to represent the aspirations of our masses,” he said.
