Jerusalem - Two young Israeli cousins who shot themselves in a suicide pact in a plush Tel Aviv hotel also fired a bullet through a wall into the neighbouring suite of British comic Ali G, the Jerusalem Post said Tuesday.
The comedian, whose real name is Sacha Baron Cohen, was unhurt but awoke early Monday afternoon to find a bullet hole in the wall and a smashed window.
He immediately called the hotel reception to report he had been shot at, the paper said.
The two dead men were identified as cousins aged 24 and 18. The younger man was a soldier and used his army-issued rifle to kill himself. Each died from a single bullet wound.
In a suicide note they gave no reason for their act, but apologised for any inconvenience they may have caused to the hotel, which charges 681 dollars a night for a suite.
The two ran up a room-service bill of $267 for wine, beer, cognac and food before killing themselves, the daily said.
They also left 700 shekels (R1300) to cover the damage caused by their action.
The daily said that Ali G (32) left the hotel on Monday and headed to the Dead Sea for filming. - Sapa-AFP
