Cape Town - It seems Ben Affleck is not taking any chances with J.Lo's safety.

Especially after a plot to kidnap Victoria Beckham, the popstar wife of England's soccer captain David Beckham, was foiled earlier this month.

According to SkyNews the movie star is forking out lots of money to keep his future bride safe. The sexy singer/actress is being guarded by armed agents over fears she may be kidnapped by gangs.

According to reports, Affleck is spending £750 000 to keep her safe.

The new guards are said to be trained to protect heads of state and top dignitaries. Each one carries a .45 calibre handgun, binoculars, night vision scopes and walkie-talkies. They also have bug detectors, The Sun newspaper said.
