London - Pop princess Britney Spears has been voted the world's sexiest woman.
The annual poll for FHM magazine saw her claim top spot from Halle Berry - who slips to number six.
British singer Rachel Stevens is in second spot, with Beyonce completing the top three.
Britain's FHM's editor David Davies said: "It's great to see Britney Spears at the top of the list. She's had an exciting if controversial 12 months but throughout everything she has always remained sexy.
"The key to winning this competition is sex appeal and as our readers have overwhelmingly demonstrated, Britney's got it.
"Her antics with Madonna in her video for Me Against the Music helped her secure the top slot."
The last 12 months have also seen Britney share an on-stage kiss with Madonna at the MTV Awards, and a 55 hour marriage with childhood friend Jason Alexander.
Other stars who have made the list include, Baywatch babe Carmen Electra, pop singer, Holly Valance, singer/actress Jennifer Lopez and actress Angelina Jolie. - Ananova.com
