Charlize's winning smile

Chicago - Last year, Americans voted for their favourite smiles among the best actress Oscar nominees.
Nicole Kidman was the winner, and was subsequently crowned Best Actress. Will the second annual survey have the same prophetic power this year?
The big winner of this year's best smile accolade is Charlize Theron, in real life, not as her character in Monster.
The survey was conducted by Impulse Research on behalf of the
American College of Prosthodontists (ACP), the national association of dental specialists who are experts in creating beautiful, healthy smiles.
The survey polled more than 1 500 people in the US. Forty-four percent of survey participants voted Theron as having the winning smile.
Runners-up were Diane Keaton (35%) and Naomi Watts (12%), while Keisha Castle-Hughes (5%) and Samantha Morton (3%) ranked lower on the smile scale.
Although Theron was unavailable for comment, Dr David
Eggleston, a prosthodontist who practices in the Los Angeles area, congratulated the winner for her healthy-looking smile.
"A smile is a great source of self-esteem, but shouldn't be fake looking, with super-white teeth lined up like Chiclets," said Eggleston.
