London - Police were called to the luxury home of ex-Beatle Paul McCartney after his estranged wife Heather Mills could not gain access to the property, the Daily Mirror reported on Tuesday.
The locks were apparently changed.
According to the newspaper, she arrived at the house in St John's Wood in north London late on Monday with the couple's daughter, Beatrice, for an arranged visit.
But when she arrived she could not get in, and when her driver tried the intercom and got no answer her security guard scaled the wall.
Fearing he might be an intruder, members of Sir Paul's staff called the police and officers attended the address.
She was finally let in, the Mirror said.
Scotland Yard confirmed that it had been called to the address, but added that "no offences" took place.
Recent reports have said that relations between the two would-be divorcees have grown sour, with Heather feeling that she has been "let down" by the ex-Beatle, who is said to have initiated divorce proceedings.
Sir Paul, 64, and Mills, who prefers to call herself Lady McCartney, announced the end of their four-year marriage in May. - Sapa-dpa
