J Lo ditches Dallas

Los Angeles - Singer/actress Jennifer Lopez has reportedly dropped out of the eagerly anticipated big-screen adaptation of the eighties TV hit, Dallas.

She was set to play Sue Ellen opposite John Travolta's oil baron JR Ewing.

J Lo's representative, Leslie Sloane Zelnick, confirmed the news, telling US publication Star: "She's out of Dallas."

But she didn't explain why.

Dallas The Movie has had several issues of late, with director Robert Luketic also quitting.

He cited "creative differences" as the reason and was also reportedly unhappy with the casting.

Dallas will now be directed by Bend It Like Beckham's Gurinder Chadha.

Luke Wilson is thought to be taking on the part of Bobby Ewing and Shirley MacLaine the role of Miss Ellie. - Ananova.com
