J Lo reality show for MTV

San Juan - Jennifer Lopez's new reality show aimed at featuring the hard road dancers travel in their bid for stardom will air on MTV, a newspaper reported on Sunday.

MTV has agreed to air the eight episodes of Lopez's Moves, which follows the lives of six dancers trying to make it as professionals, according to the Puerto Rican newspaper El Nuevo Dia.

"(Lopez) is known worldwide through movies and music, but it all began with dance," said MTV programming vice president Louis Curren.

"Now she will share her experience and knowledge with the new generation of dancers."

Telephone calls placed to Lopez's representatives on Sunday were not immediately returned.

The actress-singer is a former dancer in music videos and the Fox sketch-comedy show In Living Colour.
