J.Lo files for divorce

Los Angeles - Actress-singer Jennifer Lopez has filed for divorce from her husband Cris Judd after less than one year of marriage, according to court papers.

Lopez, who turned 32 on Wednesday, married Judd, a dancer, in September last year but they were reported last month to have been living apart for some time.

Lopez filed the divorce papers in Los Angeles Superior Court citing irreconcilable differences. News of the divorce was first disclosed by the syndicated TV show Extra.

Lopez and Judd met while working on a music video and were married a few months after the break-up of the singer's romance with rap impresario Sean "P.Diddy" Combs.

It was Lopez's second marriage. Her first, to Ojani Noa, ended in divorce in 1998.
