Los Angeles - Reclusive Hollywood heart-throb Johnny Depp has signed on to star in two new movies by director Tim Burton, who helped propel him to fame in Edward Scissorhands, the industry press said on Tuesday.
Industry bible Daily Variety said that 40-year-old Depp's already busy schedule filled further when he signed on to lend his voice to Burton's animated film Corpse Bride, co-directed by Michael Johnson.
Others stars that will lend their voices to the film, that will be made in London, include Helena Bonham Carter, Emily Watson, Albert Finney, Richard Grant, Joanna Lumley and veteran star Christopher Lee.
Corpse Bride comes on top of Depp's starring role in Burton's remake of a film version of author Roald Dahl's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, which will also film in Britain alongside the stop-action animated film.
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory will be released by Warner Bros. in July 2005, while Corpse Bride will debut in North America in October next year.
