Cape Town - Britney Spears's ex-manager Sam Lutfi has been ordered to stay away from the singer for a further three months, the BBC reported on their website on Thursday.
The restraining order was originally obtained in February by Spears's mother Lynne, claiming that he had been controlling her daughter's life by drugging her and taking control of her finances.
The new ruling means that Lutfi is not allowed to go within 228m of the singer until the end of July.
Spears's lawyer Vivian Thoreen told a US judge extending the order was "in the best interests" of the star.
According to the BBC Mr Lutfi's lawyer Michael Sands said: "Sam and the family are co-operating and trying to do what's best."
Spears, who was admitted to hospital and placed under psychiatric evaluation at the end of January, has recently returned to work but her father James will stay in charge of her affairs until 31 July.
