Madonna: Boy arrives in SA

Johannesburg - A one-year-old boy that Madonna is seeking to adopt arrived in South Africa from Malawi on Monday and boarded a scheduled flight heading for London, where the pop star has a home.
David Banda left Malawi as a group of human rights and child protection groups said they would go to court on Tuesday to challenge the speedy court decision that they said waived laws to grant Madonna temporary custody of the child.
Reporters watched the baby being carried by a woman from a chartered plane that an immigration official in Malawi said was carrying the boy, as well as two Britons and two Americans - one of whom listed her occupation as nanny.
The immigration official at the airport in Malawi spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorised to speak to the media.
The immigration official said that though he saw only a US visa in the child's passport, he understood from those travelling with David that they were headed to England via South Africa.
