Palace sheds light on Kate's baby plans

Los Angeles - The Spanish colonial-style Hollywood home where iconic sex siren Marilyn Monroe died in 1962 is going up for sale for $3.6m, the real estate agency said on Tuesday.

The one-story property, built in 1929, which spreads lavishly over 2 000m², is "the crown jewel" of the luxurious neighbourhood of Brentwood, according to the agency's website.

Monroe lived in the house for only six months before her sleeping pill overdose death, having bought the house for $90 000.

Monroe memorabilia is highly coveted, with even a burial spot near the star's last resting place being sold on the online auction website eBay in 2009 for $4.6m.
