Marriage to Hansie 'a privilege'

Bloemfontein - A visibly emotional Bertha Cronje on Wednesday thanked her parents in law, Ewie and San-Marie, for bringing up "a special person".
"It was a priviledge to be married to him," Cronje told the funeral congregation at Grey College in Bloemfontein.
She said that during the past few years she was dogged by the idea that people will forever see Cronje in a negative light.
"Even though he made a mistake, he was still the same Hansie."
With her husband's death however she had the "wonderful realisation that no one forgot (Cronje's) special qualities".
