New York - US actor Matt Damon, 35, tied the knot on Friday with Luciana Bozan, 29, of Argentina, in a discrete wedding ceremony in Manhattan, People magazine reported.

Damon married the former bartender, now an interior decorator, in a private ceremony, his publicist told the magazine.

It is the first marriage for Damon, the second for Bozan, whose married name is Barroso. She has a daughter, Alexia, seven, from her previous marriage.

The couple began dating in 2003 after meeting in Miami Beach while Damon was filming Stuck on You.

Damon stars in the newly-released Syriana, a CIA and oil politics thriller and he has also recently starred in The Bourne Supremacy.
