Minki tells of new love

Johannesburg - The rumours about SA model Minki van der Westhuizen's new romance are true - she is officially dating the popular singer Pieter Smith.
Minki confirmed the rumours on Thursday in a radio interview.
Smith said on Monday that for the past two months he has been in a committed relationship with the love of his life.
The couple met last year at the lobster festival in Lamberts Bay and were thereafter regularly seen in each other's company.
"I live in Pretoria and Minki lives in Cape Town, but we see each other as much as possible," said Smith on Monday.
Minki is also a regular at Pieter's performances and was by his side over the weekend, when he performed at Maloney's in Roodepoort.
Shortly afterwards, the couple flew to Cape Town.
"She loves Afrikaans music and goes to most shows. It probably wouldn't help much if I sang in French," joked Smith.
"We clicked from the start and I have always been crazy about him," Minki said on Monday.
"It was magic between us."
"We are both very busy, but when I have a few days off, I go to be with him."
Minki said that unfortunately, she had to leave for Europe in two weeks time, where she will be doing modelling work for three months. At least Pieter will be in London in May for a performance and they will be able to see each other then.
"It will be difficult, but we will manage," she said.
Smith laughed when he was asked about rumours surrounding an affair between Minki and British singer Robbie Williams, who recently toured the country. He said the whole story had been taken out of context.
