Nicole rakes in the cash

Sydney - Doubling her income last year helped Oscar-winning actor Nicole Kidman to the title of Australia's richest entertainer.

Business magazine BRW claimed on Wednesday that Kidman earned A$25m in 2003, against A$11.6m in 2002.

Kidman was eighth last year, when a group of four producers took the top spot in BRW's earnings league table.

Behind Kidman was crooner John Farnham, who raked in A$24m, mostly from a 96-venue concert tour attended by 460 000 people.

In third place was United States-based heavy metal group AC/DC, which earned A$20m, followed by children's entertainers The Wiggles, who earned A$14.2m. - Sapa-dpa
