London - Former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham has landed a role in Alan Partridge: The Movie, according to a report on Ananova.com.

Alan Partridge is the fictional radio DJ made famous by Steve Coogan.

Victoria will play a demanding diva character to be interviewed by Partridge in the movie.

A source told ITV.com: "The scripts for Partridge are obviously under wraps and writing is still in progress, but Victoria's part is pretty much done and dusted.

"She'll be the interviewee that finally allows Alan back on the airwaves with an incendiary chat and her part calls for some serious comic timing.

"She'll add glamour to the project..., it's a brilliant move for her."

The movie is due to be released in 2007. - Ananova.com
