London - Britain's Prince Harry marched quick-time in a pristine military uniform with his rifle on his shoulder during a prestigious parade at the elite Sandhurst military academy on Friday.
The 21-year-old, third in line to the throne, marched during the Sovereign's Parade before Prince Edward, Duke of Kent, who was representing his cousin and Harry's grandmother, Queen Elizabeth 2.
Wearing navy blue with a red stripe down the leg, white gloves and a peaked cap, Officer Cadet Wales joined nearly 500 colleagues in the passing out ceremony for those who have completed their officer training.
Those in their second of the three terms, like Harry, were allowed to carry their regulation SA80 rifles.
The Duke of Kent, a Sandhurst graduate with more than 20 years' military experience, congratulated the officer cadets on a "first-class" parade.
Offering them advice for the future, he said: "Whatever comes along, don't be afraid to have a go at it."
Harry is learning field exercises and live firing this term and was to go on an adventurous training expedition. Prince William is due to join his younger brother next year at the academy, southwest of London.
