London - An upright piano on which British singer James Blunt composed his hit songs You're Beautiful - a chart topper in 25 countries - and Goodbye my Lover will be auctioned in July, Bonhams said on Thursday.
The British auctioneers said the upright Chappell piano was expected to fetch between £1 000 (R13 927) and £1 500 (R20 890) when it goes up for sale on July 16.
The piano was in a three-room apartment Blunt shared with his sister in Fulham, west of London, which he has now sold, Bonhams said.
The Harrow-educated Blunt, who was born into a military family, is a former army officer.
In March, he became the first British artist to reach the number one slot in the US Billboard chart in nine years.
His album Back To Bedlam has sold more than seven million copies worldwide.
