Warner Bros boots Paris

New York - Another blow for socialite Paris Hilton: just two days before she enters jail for reckless and drunk driving, her record company dropped her like a hot potato.
The internet news service Hollywood.com reported on Saturday that Warner Bros label said it was "not expecting any new Paris Hilton material in the foreseeable future."
Hilton, 26, is to start serving a 28-day sentence on Tuesday in the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood California for parole violation and drunken driving.
Jail officials have chosen a cell mate for her who is doing time for reckless driving and warned staffers against allowing any photographs to be made while the socialite - an heiress to the Hilton hotel fortunes - is in jail.
The measures appears to have had little effect in calming Hilton. People magazine reported that an angst-ridden Hilton frequently breaks into tears and has lost all appetite at the prospect of a month behind bars.
Warner Bros invested $250 000 in a music video and world promotional tour for "Stars Are Blind," which brought in less than half a million record sales, Hollywood.com reported. The song reached number 18 on the charts. A second video, "Nothing in This World," sold 77 000 copies.
Hilton was stopped January 15 and again on February 27 while her licence was suspended for an earlier bust. She also failed to enroll in an alcohol education programme within 21 days of the order directing her to do so, court documents say.
In addition to the jail sentence, prosecutors also want Hilton "not to consume any alcohol for a continuous period of 90 days during which her compliance would be monitored by a Scram electronic device."
Further punishment requested by prosecutors include the suspension of her license for an additional four months and the impounding of her Bentley Continental for 30 days
