London - Rumours that Prince William and his ex-girlfriend Kate Middleton are together again after a surprise split two months ago have been fuelled by their public embraces, kissing and dancing at a party following the concert for Diana in London Sunday, tabloid reports said on Tuesday.
The two 25-year-olds, who met at university and were together for four years, had been widely assumed to intend marrying. But they announced the end of their relationship in early April.
Kate, already hailed by the media as Britain's future "queen," was said to be disappointed that her prince, who is currently serving in the army, was not giving a commitment to marriage.
But, in a London nightclub Sunday, the two "stunned revellers with a passionate smooch on the dance floor," the Daily Mirror said on Tuesday.
Hugging and kissing, they were "not shy to let the world know that their romance is back on," said the paper.
'Couldn't get enough of each other'
Kate, in a skin-tight white lace dress and matching coat, had been invited to sit in the royal box at the concert in Wembley stadium on Sunday, but apart from the prince.
Prince Harry, William's younger brother, had his Zimbabwean girlfriend, Chelsy Davy, 21, close at hand all evening, kissing and hugging on stage at Wembley.
According to the Sun newspaper, William had "begged" Kate to go out with him again, and the pair "talked through their problems" at a series of secret meetings at London's St James' Palace.
"Wills and Kate couldn't get enough of each other. It was almost embarrassing to be around them. Will's eyes were out on stalks as Kate shimmied seductively up and down his body," a friend told the Sun.
Neither side has commented on the reports. - dpa
