Los Angeles - Hollywood actors Jeremy Irons, Scarlett Johansson and Ewan McGregor are among 14 actors who are breaking into song for an unusual celebrity-studded music album, producers said on Wednesday.
The actors have agreed to explore their alternative talents on Unexpected Dreams: Songs from the Stars, an album aimed at helping a musical education programme of the Los Angeles Philharmonic.
Lost in Translation and Match Point actress Johansson, 21, will sing the George and Ira Gershwin classic Summertime, Scotsman McGregor will croon Sade's The Sweetest Gift and dramatic actor Irons will sing Bob Dylan's classic To Make You Feel My Love.
Other actors taking part in the venture, to be recorded by Rhino Records, include Alias actress Jennifer Garner, also known as Mrs Ben Affleck, Will and Grace actor Eric McCormack, Xena actress Lucy Lawless and US TV heartthrob John Stamos.
The album, produced by music veterans Wayne Baruch, Charles Gayton and Eric Vetro will be released on March 28.
