Sydney - Local singers took top individual honours at the inaugural Australian MTV Music Awards in Sydney.
Anna Nicole Smith took the limelight with a spoof of Janet Jackson's Super Bowl "wardrobe malfunction".
The former Playboy model, also an award presenter, spoofed Jackson's Super Bowl overexposure by pulling down her dress to reveal both breasts, each covered with the MTV logo.
Reflecting Australian tastes, the best female artist award went to former soap opera star-turned singer Delta Goodrem, who also sang a duet at the show with boyfriend Brian McFadden.
Shannon Noll, a runner-up in the Australian version of American Idol television talent contest, was voted best male artist.
The man who beat Noll in the final of the first Australian Idol show, Guy Sebastian, won best pop video, while young singer-songwriter Missy Higgins was named the breakthrough artist of the year.
International acts also snared awards, with Green Day on hand to pick up their award as best group and best rock video.
Other overseas winners were the Black Eyed Peas, who took out best R&B video and sexiest video categories with their clip for Hey Mamma.
Usher won best dance video for Yeah while Gwen Stefani was awarded best dressed video for What you waiting for.
The awards were staged at Luna Park, a fairground on the shore of Sydney Harbour.
