Georgia - Authorities fined actor Ben Affleck after he was clocked driving 183km/h, the actor's publicist said on Monday.
Affleck, star of Pearl Harbor, paid a $1 114 and was
allowed to go on his way, publicist David Pollick said. Affleck was
not arrested, he added.
Pollick said the 29-year-old actor, who was on vacation, was
driving a black Cadillac when he was stopped by Georgia
authorities. The speed limit on the I-16 state interstate is 113km/h.
Earlier this year, Affleck voluntarily entered a live-in
rehabilitation facility in Malibu, California, for alcohol abuse.
He starred in Good Will Hunting, for which he shared a writing
Oscar with friend Matt Damon. - AP
