Los Angeles - Eminem is dispelling his tough guy image, by joining his daughter Hailie's school trips and reading to her classmates.
The foul-mouthed rapper, real name Marshall Mathers III, is deeply involved in the eight-year-old girl's life since he won full custody of her following his divorce from troubled ex-wife Kim Mathers.
Mathers has served prison time on drug-related offences.
Eminem said: "In school, when they have plays and field trips, I don't miss them. Even if I've got to deal with craziness.
"Last year I went and read to the class. Two books. It was reading month or something."
Meanwhile, the rap star's fourth album will be released ahead of schedule because pirated versions are already circulating on the internet, according to his music company Interscope.
The much awaited album, titled Encore, was scheduled to be released on November 16. The album will now be released November 12.
The 20 songs include the title track Just lose it as well as Mosh, a vitriolic attack on President George W Bush. - Ananova.com
