France puts Potter on stamps

Paris - Abracadabra! Harry Potter has appeared on French postage stamps.

French mail service La Poste is celebrating the famous wizard and his friends with a special set of stamps and stationery.

Starting this weekend, Potter appeared on stamps for domestic priority mail, Ron Weasley on stamps for slow domestic mail and Hermione Granger on stamps for international mail.

France is not the first country to put Potter on a stamp.

Australia, the Isle of Man and Taiwan, for example, have already issued stamps honoring JK Rowling's hero.
