HIV trial: German singer sentenced

Darmstadt – German popstar Nadja Benaissa was given a two-year suspended sentence on Thursday for infecting a former partner with HIV by having unprotected sex with him.

Benaissa, 28, a member of the band No Angels, had admitted to not informing the now-34 year old man that she was HIV-positive during their relationship.
