London - JK Rowling has considered writing an eighth 'Harry Potter' book.
The writer - who released the seventh, and what was touted as the final tome, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, in the boy wizard series this year - revealed she may revive the magical world of Hogwarts and its pupils one day, but insists Harry would not be the central character.
Rowling - who is working on an adult novel and a "political fairy tale" - said: "There have been times since finishing, weak moments, when I've said, 'Yeah, all right,' to the eighth novel.
"If, and it's a big if, I ever write an eighth book about the wizarding world, I doubt that Harry would be the central character. I feel like I've already told his story. But these are big ifs. Let's give it 10 years and see how we feel then."
The millionaire novelist - who came third in Time magazine's prestigious Person of the Year list - already has her characters' destinies worked out in her mind.
She added to the magazine: "Harry and Hermione are at the Ministry of Magic, and Harry ends up leading the Auror department. Ron helps his brother George at the joke shop and does very well. Ginny becomes a professional Quidditch player and then sportswriter for the Daily Prophet." - Bang ShowBiz
