London - Kylie Minogue is "eager" to return to her Showgirl tour, according to the Australian promoter.
The Australian leg of the tour due to begin last month was postponed after Kylie discovered during a health check-up that she had breast cancer.
A statement on Kylie's website from Frontier Touring Company said: "We know you're all eager for news on the rescheduled dates for Kylie's Showgirl tour and we'd like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued patience.
Kylie's health 'our main concern'
"However, Kylie's health is our main concern at this point in time, and we're sure you'll understand when we say that none of us want to have her back on tour prematurely.
"Kylie's health and recovery remains the number one priority for The Frontier Touring Company right now. The latest news from Kylie's doctors indicates that a definitive answer on Showgirl's rescheduling is still a few weeks away.
"Your tickets remain valid, so make sure you keep them somewhere safe. If you do wish a refund you'll need to contact your original authorised point of purchase to organise this.
The dates
As soon as we have definitive information on new Showgirl dates for Australia we will let you know. Kylie loves performing in Australia and is as eager to be back on stage as you are to see her."
According to the Sydney Daily Telegraph an announcement about possible rescheduled shows is not expected until January 2007.
The paper reports Kylie is back in her London home with boyfriend Olivier Martinez, sister Dannii and manager Terry Blamey close by.
Meanwhile, the Sydney Morning Herald reported that Kylie's representatives rejected claims the singer has received the all-clear from cancer given that she needs to undergo further chemotherapy treatment.
"These type of stories are out of control," Kylie Martin, Kylie's publicist, told the paper. - Ananova.com
