Monopoly shrouded in mystery

Cape Town - The final countdown has begun for world cities that are vying for a spot on the hotly anticipated new game board Monopoly Here & Now: The World Edition.
Voters have only six days left to ensure that their favourite city will be featured on the new game board, where players will get to play their way to Monopoly wealth via cities, instead of the original roads.
However, the all important voting process for the nominated cities suddenly got a new twist.
News24 was shocked to discover on Friday morning that the names of the nominated cities and their corresponding positions on the leader board had been removed - instead we were greeted by questions marks!
On Thursday Cape Town was still in the third spot, while Istanbul and Montreal held on to the top two spots.
Cape Town is the only South African city and one of only two African cities (the other being Cairo in Egypt) to make the list.
Current standing
It seems that from now on, until the closing date of 29 February, the Monopoly voting process will be shrouded in mystery.
Some good news, though, is that there is another website called Monopoly Charts where the public at least can check the standings of all the cities up to the 21st of February.
Click here to visit the Monopoly World Vote website and to vote for Cape Town.
Remember that voters can vote for their favourite cities once a day.
So, keep voting for Cape Town - the future of the Mother City on Monopoly Here & Now: The World Edition will be revealed soon.
