Miami - A 49-year-old woman died after riding Walt Disney World's Mission Space ride, becoming the second person in a year to die after taking the thrill ride, a spokesperson for the Florida amusement park said Thursday.
Local media identified the woman as a German national.
She died at a hospital in Orlando on Wednesday, one day after using the giant centrifuge that simulates spaceflight, the spokesperson said.
He said the woman had become ill after being on the ride.
A four-year-old boy died after taking the same ride in June. An autopsy found he had a rare heart disease, which caused his death.
The ride was closed overnight as officials checked that it worked properly, and it reopened on Thursday.
Signs posted at the attraction advise anyone with heart problems not to take the ride.
