Pretoria - The state is not considering allowing Advocate Cezanne Visser, aka Advocate Barbie, to turn state witness against her former lover, Advocate Dirk Prinsloo.
Visser and Prinsloo were arrested in December on allegations of attempted murder, possession of pornography and indecent material and possession of illegal substances.
Visser offered to turn state witness against Prinsloo after the couple had appeared in the Pretoria regional court.
Public Prosecutions (DPP) deputy director Retha Meintjies on Friday said: "The DPP is not at all considering using Visser as state witness."
"The DPP will meet with Visser's legal team on February 4 to discuss
the charges against her."
Meintjes said the charge sheet against Visser and Prinsloo was not finalised yet, and she was still working on it.
The couple parted ways when they were released on bail of R4 000 the day before Christmas on condition they had no contact with each other.
At the time Visser was still using Prinsloo?s surname, even though they were not legally married.
Earlier Visser made news headlines for increasing her bust size dramatically, and for participating in the Idols talent competition.
The couple also made news when they took Sunday paper Rapport to court over "sex photographs" allegedly in the newspapers possession.
