Daring discharge leads to fine

Brussels - Police in the Belgian port of Ostende have for weeks been clamping down on public urinators - but the message failed to get through to one man caught Sunday peeing against a police car.
The 33-year-old man was fined €25 for his daring discharge, the Belga news agency reported.
Belgian men take a relaxed approach to urinating outdoors, in a country whose capital is home to the world-famous Manneken Pis, a bronze statue of a boy taking a permanent leak.
But Ostende police have got tough by launching "Operation Montmartre" - in allusion to the Paris Montmartre area - against a range of public nuisances, also including illegal parking and noisy revellers, Belga reported.
