Cape Town - It's that time of the year again, when South African artists are recognised for their contribution to the music industry.
The tenth South African Music Awards, the longest running music event in South Africa, will be held on Saturday at Sun City.
Nominees for this year's awards were announced at a glitzy event in Johannesburg. To view the full list of nominees click here.
The public can vote for nominees in three categories: song of the decade, song of the year and artist of the year.
Former Springbok Nude Girls frontman, heart-throb Arno Carstens, is up for best male artist, best AC album (English) and best rock album.

Song of the Decade
The late Madonna of the Townships, Brenda Fassie, has her hit single Vuli Ndlele up against kwaito king Mandoza's Nkalakatha, jazz legend Hugh Masekela's Thanayi and SA diva Vicky Sampson's African Dream for best song of the decade.
