Dolly Rathebe laid to rest

Johannesburg - Jazz legend Dolly Rathebe was buried in the Roodepoort Cemetery on Sunday afternoon, SABC news reported.
Hundreds of mourners, including Arts Minister Pallo Jordan and poet and writer Don Mattera, attended her funeral service at the Orlando East Communal Hall in Soweto on Sunday morning.
Rathebe, aged 74, died on September 16, at the Ga-Rankuwa Hospital. She was admitted to hospital after suffering a mild stroke.
Rathebe rose to stardom through a role in a film called "Jim Comes to Jo'burg" in the late 1940s.
