Egoli seeks young Nenna

Cape Town - If you think that you could be a younger version of Nenna in the soapie Egoli, or know someone who fits the bill, now is your chance.
Nenna, played by Shaleen Surtie-Richards, is the feisty matriarch of Windsor Manor in the city of gold, and everyone knows not to mess with her.
But the colourful Nenna in M-Net's long- running series was not always a fearsome figure - or was she?
Viewers will be able to see for themselves, provided that Egoli's producers can find someone who "resembles" a younger Nenna, that is, a younger version of Shaleen Surtie-Richards.
Gizela Arndt, Egoli's media officer, confirmed on Wednesday that producer Franz Marx is still searching for a youthful Nenna look-alike.
In 1995 Beeld, Die Burger and Volksblad, had a competition to find Nenna's twin sister, Robin Ruby.
Robin Ruby had a lot more chutzpah than Nenna, but she took a few wrong turns in her life and died from diseased kidneys.
Zirelda Dysan of Klerksdorp did some of the double scenes with her but Shaleen played the role of her sister in the end.
Arndt says there won't be an official search this time but people who think they could be a younger Nenna are welcome to contact the producer for a screen test.
The person who makes it will spend a day shooting scenes that will be screened in March.
"It is one of the most exciting story lines to date and we hope to find a young Nenna," she said.
