Johannesburg - "If I dance 10 more minutes, I'm going to pass out!" said popular singer Robbie Wessels while recording a music video on Wednesday.
Wessels recorded the video for his hit Leeuloop at a bush pub in Broederstroom near Hartebeespoort Dam.
Despite the heat of 34 degrees Celsius, supporters flocked to Route 66 Saloon to be part of the action.
About 75 supporters, dressed in wedding attire, acted during the fake wedding.
According to the storyline a couple are getting married in a distant rural town when Wessels and his four dancers turn up uninvited.
Eric Nobbs plays the part of the town's moralist who tries to protect the residents from Wessels' seductive dancing.
The recording started at 08:00. By 13:00 it was Wessels' turn to do the "Leeuloop" in front of the wedding venue. Sweat was pouring down as he waved his arms in the air and stamped his feet.
"The sweat washed off all my make-up within the first three minutes," he said during a break of a few seconds.
"If I have to dance 10 more minutes, I'm going to pass out!" he joked.
"During my last tour to the Cape I ate too much and exercised too little. That's why I'm so unfit."
"The day is as hot as Robbie himself," said Petra Rocher, 27, one of his supporters.
The last scenes were recorded by 23:00.
