Irene fires 'King Louis'
Johannesburg - Behind this particular man are no loyal women. Not anymore.
Singer Irene van Wyk has made the decision this week to fire "sex pest" Louis van Wyk, her ex-husband and CEO of Musiek Profiel, as her agent.
This surprising twist followed Beeld's report on Tuesday that Irene and the Fantastic Four singers, Pieter Koen and Danie Niehaus, were 100% behind their promoter.
In their statement they said they found it hard to believe that Louis could be guilty.
"As musicians and friends of Louis van Wyk, we are astounded by Nedine's (Blom) accusations of sexual harassment. As far as we know, the whole affair is being blown up. We find it hard to believe that Louis could be guilty."
Irene sent an SMS to people in the music industry in which she claims Blom used her name without permission.
The SMS reads: "I want to state for the record that I was not part of the press release. My name was used without my knowledge or permission. I am no longer a part of Music Profile Management."
No sex pest
In the meantime, Louis van Wyk has told Cape Son that he is normal and not a sex pest or a rapist.
In an email to Cape Son, Louis wrote: ":I don't have sex on my brain any more or less than 98% of men around the world.
"I could also include women in that, unless you tell me no woman on earth thinks about sex.
"The allegations against me are laughable, and I've reached the stage where it just rolls off my back.
"Like Gerrie Pretorius told me yesterday (Monday): "Let's rather go drink a dop in Menlyn, but just stay away from Mr Price's mannequins before they report you for harrassment.
"It feels as if I'm the only man who has or is pestering women in South Africa."
