Kwaito star injured in crash

Johannesburg - A kwaito artist sustained head injuries when his car smashed into a palm tree in Weltevreden Park, west of Johannesburg on Sunday morning, paramedics said.

ER24 spokesperson Werner Vermaak said the man, whom witnesses identified as Mandoza, real name Mduduzi Tshabalala, smashed his BMW Mini Cooper at 09:10.

"The man sustained head injuries when his car collided with a palm tree on JG Strydom road in Weltevreden Park. He was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital," Vermaak said.
